Customer's Fault Description
Intermittent power so keeps switching off even with new batteries. Seems like a loose connection??
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Central heating boiler remote control arrived safely from Beer and on testing was confirmed to have intermittent power but also the buttons were non responsive.
On opening the power issue was due to impacted battery terminals, these were bent back into position which restored full power.
The button array was found to have suffered contamination corrosion (see image). The print was reworked and the buttons replaced which restored full functionality.
