The wire casing has fatigued and left wires exposed. the remote is operational, but exposed wires could be a hazard.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Dual Motor Remote Control arrived safely from Biggin Hill and on inspection was found to have a badly damaged cable, a replacement straight cable was fitted (we cannot get the curly kind) and the rest of the remote tested as normal.
