Bottom left button on remote not working and cable damaged

This Recliner chair remote control arrived safely from Forfar and on inspection was found to have worn button contacts and a damaged cable at the remote entry point.  

The cable was cut back and refitted to bypass the damaged and then conductive pads were glued under each of the main buttons.
