Customer's Fault Description
I tried to put new batteries in but the screen is black and won't work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Boiler remote control arrived safely from Lambeth and on inspection one of the battery terminals was missing, corroded away from an apparent battery leak (see image). This made the remote dead.
The terminal was replaced which restored full functionality.
