Customer's Fault Description
Recommissioned after not using for 18 months. Unit performs fine but does not respond to the remote. Have tried a new battery but nothing doing.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Pure CD player / DAB radio (PURE Evoke D-C6) remote control arrived safely from Wells and on inspectio nteh battery holder was jammed in the remote upside down.
The case was split open and the holder removed, it appears that the battery had been inserted upside down as one of the terminals was found to be misshaped. The terminal was reworked and then when re-tested full functionality was restored.
A CR2025 eveready battery will be supplied fitted on return, it is important to note the orientation of the battery when it is time to be replaced as fitting a replacement upside down may cause further damage.
