Customer's Fault Description
I have sent some pic's , It is the perished cable that needs replaced, the remote itself works.I know you can only replace it with black and thats ok. It is an identical remote to the one that i sent a while back.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a badly damaged cable.

A replacement straight cable was fitted and then replacement conductive pads glued under each of the buttons.
