Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace remote control arrived safely and on inspection the battery cable was damaged and the voltage regulator was giving erroneous voltages.
The regulator and battery cable were both replaced which restored full functionality.
The remote was returned as it would drain batteries, this was found to be the main IC at fault, it is thought that when the regulator was faulty it may have voltage spiked the IC.
