I dropped the remote, and although it has power from the battery (display works and fire "clicks" when used, doesn't turn the fire on
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Enclosed gas stove remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to not transmit on the down channel.

This was due to a 40Khz crystal in the handset being faulty, once replaced full functionality was restored.
