No power at all in the remote we've tried changing batteries lots of times but doesn't work
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace remote control arrive safely from Merseyside and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening this was due to 2 issues, the first being the oscillator having a broken leg (see image) this was replaced.
The button contacts were found to have started to decompose (see image), the PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under each of the buttons.
Full functionality was restored.
