When I plug in the charging lead the blue led which should come on just flashes once , I’m Hoping this is a dodgy connection

This Golf trolley remote control arrived safely from Dorset and on testing the charge light would not stay on, when opened the issue was found to be due to the positive terminal of the battery being broken.
A replacement battery was fitted which restored full functionality.
