Customers Fault Description : On off button not functioning

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Gas fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a non functioning power button.

The button was replaced which restored full functionality and the remote would power on from its 3 second power button press.
