Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sony Hard Disc Player remote control arrived safely from Colchester and on testing many buttons were non responsive.
When opened this was found to be due to a large amount of very sticky liquid over much of the button array. The PCB and button contacts were cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under the badly worn buttons.
Full functionality was restored to all buttons.
