Westin Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Westin

Customers Fault Description : Every time I change the battery it works for a couple of hours and then the battery is completely drained and another battery id needed

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Cooker hood remote control arrived safely from Highbury and on inspection the battery cover was missing (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available), on testing it was found to have a SMD transistor that would get warm without use.

This was signs of a short which could drain batteries.  THe SMD transistor was replaced which then restore cool functionality and there was no signs of battery drain.
