Hi, we have Mertik Maxitrol G30 ZRHS Remote control, just very recently the red light is always stays on permanently, changed the batteries but still the same! Therefore intermittently the fire comes on suddenly. Remote still is working, turns the fire on/ off when presses the up & down buttons but the red light is constantly on!
Remote Fixer Repair Response

THis gas fire remote control arrived safely from Middlesbrough and on testing was confirmed to be illuminated without any button being pressed.

This was due to a shorted button, both buttons and the battery cable were replaced which restored full functionality.
