Batteries corroded terminals which I damaged when trying to remove and clean them

This Dimplex wall mounted fire RF remote control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have damaged battery terminals from a battery leak.

The terminals were etched clean the re-plated using SCP.  Once tested again power was restored but the buttons were intermittent.  The button contacts were cleaned up which then restored full functionality.
