Customer's Fault Description
Red light does not come on, or if it does only for a fleeting second. No longer able to pair it with gas fire control unit.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

THis remote control arrived safely from London and on testing was found to have erratic functionality.

This was due to the voltage regulator being intermittent.  Once the regulator and battery cable was replaced which restored full functionality. 

Please note that when first adding a battery the very first button press will be inoperable, this is normal and is the remote initializing.  This will only happen when you replace the battery.
