Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Plinth heater remote control arrived safely from Northampton and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
The batteries inside were totally drained. When replacing them the remote was found to transmit without any button being pressed.
When opened there was contamination on the button array form the contacts decomposing, this was shorting the buttons and draining the batteries. The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under each button.
Full functionality was restored.
