Customers Fault Description : No life in screen display. No response from fire when remote control buttons pressed.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

THis Mertik Maxitrol remote control arrived safely from The Netherlands and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a SMD diode breaking away from the PCB.  The diode was replaced which restored full functionality.
