Customer's Fault Description
wont switch one - tried new batteries and nothing. Fireplace is only about 3 years old and only been on about 5 times in total. There is no other way to switch on the fire other than remote so we are a bit snookered.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Fireplace remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was due to a SMD diode breaking away from the PCB. The diode was replaced which restored full functionality.
