Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Gas fire remote control arrived safely from Liverpool and on inspection the screw was missing from the case. On testing the remote had intermittent power.
On opening the display was crushed to the side (this still works but cannot be bent back into position without possibly destroying the screen)
The aerial cable looks to have been attempted to be connected at the non connected end as the insulation was cut back to reveal the inner core. This aerial is only mean to be connected at one end, the exposed wire was cut back to prevent it shorting to any parts of the PCB.
The intermittent power issue was found to be caused by a faulty battery cable. A replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
