Customer's Fault Description
Hi my gas fire really hasn't had much use and neither has the remote control even though it has been installed for quite a few years. The fire works absolutely fine but the remote will simply not light the fire nor will it increase/reduce the flame. It does nothing at all. I changed the battery to a brand new one and still nothing happens. The red light does illuminate when you press the remote but it will not connect with the fire. Hope you can help.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Gas fire remote control arrived safely from Grantham and on testing was found to be transmitting as per normal on each button press and would control our test receiver.
The remote was then tested over a 3 day period at random intervals with no fault being replicated.
It is possible that the issue is with the customers receiver box in the fire itself.
This item has been classed as no fault found.
