Appears dead although top power button sometimes powers off.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Electric Fire remote control arrived safely from Bristol and on inspection the retaining tab of the battery compartment is missing, replacement battery covers are not available as spares. On testing the remote was found to be functioning as normal.
On these remotes all of the buttons on the right side of the remote will not do a thing until the button labeled "Power" is pressed at the same time, this is a safety feature of the remote to prevent accidental powering of the heater.
This item has been classed as no fault found, a set of batteries will be supplied fitted on return.
