Customer's Fault Description
We have two broken remote controls for our rolling road (part of our MOT testing equipment) - both aren't working but wanted to send you both to see if you can get one of them operational again. Thought we could send both in case you wanted to swap parts over etc. One remote has buttons missing, the other just doesn't work at all (and is missing the battery cover).
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two Rolling Road remote controls arrived safely from Chesham and on inspection one was missing some buttons and the other was missing its IR cover and battery cover. The IR cover and battery cover cannot be replaced as spares are not available, this doesn't effect functionality.
On the old remote the oscillator and LED was found to be faulty, both were replaced which restored full functionality.
The other newer remote was found to have a broken LED and was intermittent in functionality. The LED was replaced and then replacement buttons were fitted to replace the missing ones (these are not original so the case was modified to accommodate the buttons). Full functionality was restored.
