Pioneer axd7694 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : No power got wet

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Av receiver remote control arrived safely from Willenhall and on testing was dead.  The batteries were drained, when replaced the remote was found to be transmitting on its own.

This was due to one of the button caps being misaligned which was shorting out the contacts.  The button alignment was fixed which restored functionality, it was then found that the volume and power buttons were non responsive. 

This was due to worn button contacts.  Replacement conductive pads were glued into place which restored full functionality.  

It is thought that the original fault was the non responsive volume buttons (this is the most common fault on these remotes) and when the item was opened by the customer the misalignment of the button was then created, the fixing screws were missing and the bottom of the case has scratches on them from an attempted opening.
