Hudson Reed Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Remote has stopped communicating with the base unit. For several years it has stopped making any audible tones but this hasnt affected it's operation but if this can be fixed as well that would be good.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Digital Shower remote control arrived safely from Bristol and on testing was found to not transmit an RF signal.
When opened this was found to be due to the Oscillator breaking away from the PCB, once this was soldered back into place full signal strength was restored.
The piezo buzzer does not sound, this doesn't effect functionality but these are not readily available as spares meaning the sound cannot be restored.
There was also corrosion within the remote, this was all cleared up, this means that the remote is not waterproof and great care must be taken to prevent future damage.
