Yamaha RAV4 - VV48640 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : All buttons stopped working. Tried new batteries, no change. Identical issue to remotefixer.co.uk/repair-8291.html

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Yamaha Amplifier remote control arrived safely from ILkeston and on testing many buttons were responding ut the Volume and power buttons and some of the function select buttons were non responsive.

When opened this was found to be due to decomposing button contacts which were contaminating the PCB contacts (see image).   The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glued under each of the affected buttons.

Full functionality was restored to all buttons.
