Customers Fault Description : Doesn't work at all. Seems to be something loose on the inside.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Fireplace remote control arrived safely from the Netherlands and on testing was found to be dead and would rattle when shook.

This was due to a SMD component breaking free from the PCB.  The component was replaced which restored full functionality.
