There is a loose connection, which means some keys on the remote are not registering. Especially on the main “home” key.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote control arrived safely from London and on testing was found to have many non responsive buttons.

When opened the was a mass of liquid contamination over the entire PCB and button array.

All contaminants were cleaned which restored full functionality to all buttons.
