Customer's Fault Description
Volume Buttons not working and sub menu buttons not working - you have fixed similar remotes before same issue here
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control arrived safely from Birmingham and on testing was confirmed to have numerous non functioning buttons.
One of the terminals had signs of a possible battery leak / breakdown but when opened there was no signs of physical acid damage to the PCB.
Unfortunately once any rework was carried out the remote would start to work but then fail after a few hours. This happened a few times and eventually it was concluded that the heat was making a faulty IC work internally but then would fail once cooled down. Due to this a repair is sadly not possible.
