Customer's Fault Description
stopped working, changed battery's, it does work if you are less than 1cm away from the receiver.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This gas fire controller and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the receiver was missing its battery cover.
On testing the remote was found to have an extremely faint signal. This was due to a faulty transducer. The transducer in the handset was replaced which restored full functionality.
No fault was found with the receiver.
