Gasco Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The remote control indicated that it had "low battery". When I had changed the battery (tried with several different batteries), it still indicated "low battery". And after a while it stopped working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace remote control arrived safely from Norway and on testing was found to be dead. The battery cable and voltage regulator were both replaced which restored full functionality.
