Customers Fault Description : Remote not responsive. Display does not light up even with fresh batteries.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Remote control for a Gas fire arrived safely from London and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a SMD diode breaking away from the PCB.  A replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
