Customer's Fault Description
SOME BUTTONSJAM ON. ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD ONE OF THE SPOTS ON THE BOARD IS WORN AND APPEARS TO BE SHORTING OUT THE BATTERY.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control arrived afely and on inspection was partially dismantled. The IR cover was missing as well as 3 of the buttons.
The IR cover cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
When tested the remote was dead. This was due to contamination shorting the PCB button contacts and also the red LED was intermittent.
The PCB was reworked and the LED replaced. Then replacement conductive pads were glued under all buttons. This restored full functionality. The missing buttons were replaced with lookalikes.
