Since water was spilt on the remote a week ago it will not communicate with the receiver and operate the fire

This Remote control for a Yeoman CL8 fireplace arrived safely from Northants and on testing was found to not transmit on the up channel.

The PCB was found to have liquid contamination over parts of the print, this was all cleaned up but the issue persisted, the signal was restored by replacing the 40.5khz oscillator.
