New battery drains overnight, and doesn't allow fire to be lit.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fire remote control arrived safely from Southport and on testing was found to have a faulty regulator, the regulator and battery cable was replaced which restored full functionality.  This is not a battery drain issue, the regulator was giving erroneous battery indicator levels.
