Dimplex RC01-024 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The remote control to our Dimplex fire has stopped working. The fire works fine manually. The model in Dimplex Springborne SBN 20 N

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Dimplex Fire Remote Control arrived safely from Stoke On Trent and on testing was found to not transmit on any button press.

On opening the button pads were found to have started to decompose and contaminate the PCB contacts (see image).  The PCB was cleared of all contaminates and then replacement conductive pads were glued under both buttons which restored full functionality.
