Customer's Fault Description
The battery drains after just a few days.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This  Fire remote control arrived safely from Wolverhampton and on testing was confirmed to drain batteries.  When opened there was a mass of contamination over all of the pins of one of the ICs (see image).  The contamination was all cleared and then the solder reflowed.  When re-tested the remote was found to not draw excess power on use.
