Customer's Fault Description
The spring on one side of the battery keeps dropping down and losing connection. I melted candle wax below the connector spring which helped for a while, but now its completely stopped working. Also the clip on the plastic battery cover is broken but happy to just tape that together if you cant repair it. Just want the remote to work so we can get some heat!!
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This heater remote control arrived safely from Torquay and on inspection the battery terminals were confirmed to be loose and there was a lot of wax inside the remote.
The wax was cleared from the PCB and case and then hot glue used to fix the terminals into position. There was also a toothpick inside the remote which res removed.
The fixing pins of the battery cover were found to be broken, unfortunately replacement battery covers are not available as spares but his can be remedied by a small bit of black tape.
