ABK Innovent Remote Repair Details
This Extractor fan remote control arrived safely from Cambridge and on testing was found to transmit on each button press as normal. The remote was tested over a 3 day period without an issue being replicated.
The code set being transmitted on each button was confirmed to be consistent and correct (see image)
The remote was opened to check for defects and there does appear to be contamination around the button matric(see image) but as the item is functioning as normal this was not been cleaned up / buttons replaced as it would be a chargeable repair and it is not known if it would be of any benefit without seeing a fault. (if it is requested we can replace all the buttons and clean the PCB of contaminates but this will be on the understanding that it may not rectify the customers issue if it turns out to be a fault with the receiver / Extractor fan)
It is possible that the issue is with the receiver or that the code set but the internal switches of the remote / receiver do not match, we cannot test this as it needs to be paired with the receiver but if noone has touched these switches then its unlikely to be the problem.
We have not noticed as permanent red light on the remote without a button being pressed in normal functionality.
