Sony RM-LJ304 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Display Screen Characters not fully displayed.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This SONY Receiver STR-DB940 remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have bad display characters.

This was found to be the display module itself.  It was hoped to replace the display wit hone from a scrap unit but all the scrap boards we have use a different display / connection even though they are the same model number.  These display modules are not available as spare which has sadly made a repair not possible.
