Valor 846 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Around 18 months after purchase the the fire can only be switched on, however it is fixed on the high setting and cannot be turned to Low/Medium. The fire is for my 83 old blind mother and she said the remote does not operate the fire?

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Electric Fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a corrosion spot in the print caused by a battery leak.  The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
