Customer's Fault Description
The handset illuminates but doesn't seem to generate sound. The fire can be turned on by using a vacuum cleaner next to the receiver!
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace remote control arrived safely from Exeter and on testing was found to transmit as normal on each button press when tested with out test receiver.
This item does not make an audible sound as it is Ultrasonic.
The remote was tested over a 3 day period at random intervals without an issue being found. It was therefore concluded that the issue is most likely with the receiver.
