Flamerite Asperation YCT-100 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Initially sometimes the fire took several times to switch on , although the ON switch worked & the LED came on. Then the On Button stopped working,. The PCB has 8 buttons, but only 5 are used. I tried to repair it by desoldering the ON button sw101, then desoldered a spare sw108 and soldering it in the ON button position sw101. However the LED now is lit dimly as soon as battery fitted, so some battery drain , although comes on fully now when on button pressed. But the fire does not come on. I have enclosed the faulty switch as well as remote and Battery (new)
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote control arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to have an illuminated LED without any button being pressed.
All of the buttons were replaced which restored this issue. The remtoe was found to be transmitting on each button press as normal, therefore it is important to ensure that the remote is paired with the fireplace correctly or it will not effect the heater. The dial on the back is how to pair the remote.
As the remote was worked on prior to arrival with us it is unknown if the internal switch is in the correct position, this is something the customer must investigate.
The code set being transmitted on each button press is correct for this model.
