Mertik maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Mertik maxitrol

Customers Fault Description : Receiver not operating when remote is pressed. Remote lights up so appears to be working.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Gas fire remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspeciton the remote was missing its battery cover and the battery cable was damaged.

When tested the remote was found to not transmit a signal at all, this was due to a faulty transducer in the handset, the transducer was replaced which restored full functionality.

No fault was found with the receiver.  Its important to note that the receiver has signs of suffering from a battery leak, this can lead to issues in the future.  We cannot touch the receivers when they have suffered a battery leak.  The guarantee on this job is for the remote control repair.

A spare battery cover was found and fitted and the battery cable replaced.
