Customers Fault Description : I changed the batteries, but they are still not working. One of them was faulty before and the second one is also not working now
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
These two Kitchen cooker hood remotes arrived safely from Essex and on testing both were dead.
When opened both were found to have the batteries inserted incorrectly. Once inserted correctly one of the remotes sprang to life.
The other remote was found to have corrosion in the print (see image), this was cleaned up and the terminals etched clean which then restored full functionality.
Both remotes were confirmed to be transmitting the same code set as each other.
The payment on this page is for the repair to one of the remotes, the other was classed as no fault found as it was a battery issue.
Duracell batteries will be supplied fitted in each remote on return.
