This cooker hood remote control arrived safely from Edinburgh and on inspection the entire back was covered in tape.
On testing the buttons were non responsive and the remote rattled when shook.
When opened the PCB was found to move freely inside due to a broken mounting pin for the PCB, also one of the terminals had a tiny bit of corrosion making the power intermittent. The terminal was etched clean and then the PCB hot glued firmly into place. Full functionality was restored.
