Water damage, corrosion to battery connections, all buttons were working when water damage occurred.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Jacuzzi bath remote control arrived safely from Staffordshire and on testing was dead due to a damaged battery terminal caused by a leak.

The terminal was replaced which restored full functionality.
