Customer's Fault Description
Works correctly for a short time, a few hours, with new batteries
But after ~ 1-2 hours screen will briefly come on showing just white, at random intervals, and it will not show a proper screen or respond to keypresses
When this happens Batteries are drained
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This boiler remote control arrived safely from Dorset and on testing was found to have erratic functionality. On opening the voltage regulator was found to have corrosion on its pins from an apparent battery leak, the regulator and one of the terminals replaced.
The remote was then tested over a 24 hour period with no further issues being replicated.
