Customers Fault Description : Intermittent loss of connection - seems like something loose in the handset

This Linn remote controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent.
On opening one of the terminals was found to be heavily corroded from a battery leak.
The terminal was replaced which restored full functionality.
