Customer's Fault Description
The Remote is not sending any signal at all to the awning and the infrared button is not coming on. The only button that was working was the top button which was the unwind button and the stop which is the middle button and the rewind which is the bottom button didn’t appear to be working. I’m not sure even if they are the correct batteries as a couple of people attempted to get the remote working and used different batteries. I would of course be happy to reimburse you additionallly for any cost of alternative batteries
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Remote control for a retractable Electric patio awning arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead, there were visible marks all around the edging of the remote due to an attempted opening prior to arrival with us.
The dead issue was due to the battery terminals being loose (bent outwards) making a poor battery connection.
The terminals were reworked which restored full functionality.
A set of two CR2430 will be supplied fitted on return.
